About Ed and Gloria Dollinger...
Ed Dollinger grew up on a grain and livestock farm in the Plainfield area, graduating from St. Mary Immaculate Parish School, Joliet Catholic High School (’81) and the University of Illinois (’85). He opened the first Edward Jones Investments office in Joliet in 1986. He was a regional leader, a senior regional leader and currently is an advanced branch team performance consultant, covering the Midwest region. Ed has attended his firm’s Managing Partners’ Conference for 25 years. As a top 25 financial adviser at Edward Jones, he has attended multiple Barron’s Top 100 Summits. He is involved with the boards of the University of St. Francis in Joliet, the Diocese of Joliet finance council and the Will County Center for Economic Development. He was a board member for the Community Foundation of Will County, St. Joseph Medical Center and Joliet Catholic Academy, according to Project Acclaim.
His wife, Gloria, graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with a degree in health and safety studies and from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in nutrition and medical dietetics. She is a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is the nutrition supervisor for the Joliet Park District. She was a commissioner for the Will County Board, serving on the finance and judicial committees, and the Forest Preserve District of Will County. She also was a board member for the MAPP Collaborative and the Workforce Investment Board. Gloria recently was the development director for the Community Foundation of Will County. She is a board member at the Joliet Area Historical Museum and chairs the museum’s collection’s committee. She also is a member of the Joliet Junior Women’s Club and Ascension St. Joseph – Joliet Auxiliary, according to Project Acclaim.
They belong to Joliet Rotary Club, Heritage Club members of the YMCA, and are supporters of the Rialto Square Theatre.
Ed and Gloria are parishioners at St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Joliet. At St. Paul's, Ed is a lector and is capital campaign co-chairman. Gloria is a Eucharistic minister and past president for the school board and the parish council.
They have been inducted into the Hall of Pride in 2022 by Joliet’s Project Acclaim, recognized with 2021 Distinguished Citizen Award by Boy Scouts of America, and received the Joliet Catholic Academy Recognition Award in 2019.
They are the parents of Matt, Casey and Nathan.
